Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour, dependent on experienceKey ResponsibilitiesLead Your StationTake ownership of a designated station, ensuring readiness, organization, and smooth execution throughout service.Prepare, season, and cook dishes to exact specifications, consistently meeting Rimrock's luxury standards.Anticipate needs during service, maintaining pace while upholding quality and presentation.Craft with CareFollow recipes, presentation standards, and dietary requirements with precision and consistency.Execute dishes that highlight local ingredients, reflecting both sustainability and a strong sense of place.Maintain a high level of attention to detail in plating, portioning, and final presentation.Operational ExcellenceOperate kitchen equipment safely and confidently, demonstrating strong technical expertise.Uphold HACCP, FOODSAFE, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean, organized, and service-ready station.Support prep planning and mise en place to ensure seamless service execution.Team & CultureSupport and guide junior cooks where needed, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing kitchen environment.Communicate clearly and proactively with the culinary team during service.Embody Rimrock values of connection, growth, and authenticity through every dish and interaction.QualificationsWhat You Bring
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong foundational culinary skills and a passion for food
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a hotel or luxury dining environment
- Exposure to multiple kitchen sections (hot line, cold kitchen, banquets, garde manger)
- A culinary diploma or professional certification
- Interest in seasonal ingredients, local sourcing, and menu creativity
- Continuous standing for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking, bending, and reaching above/below shoulder height.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 lbs / 10 kg.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs / 23 kg.
- Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment for extended shifts.
