- Interpreting BCFSA and OSFI Business Continuity and Resilience guidelines and applying Second Line of Defense principles to frameworks, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining Vancity’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, including impact assessments for vendor arrangements.
- Advising senior leaders on recovery strategies and overseeing BCP action plans to close capability gaps.
- Designing and maintaining BCM & Resilience risk reporting and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for management and Board committees.
- Planning and executing business continuity testing activities with internal teams and external vendors.
- Monitoring evolving threats and regulatory shifts to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Leading incident response and recovery efforts, including communications, documentation, and after-action reviews.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or resilience planning.
- Strong knowledge of BCFSA and OSFI guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience designing and executing business continuity testing and incident response plans.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior leadership.
- Certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute) are considered assets.
