Join the Island Gold District team and be a part of the long-life mining operations, as we prioritize our employee growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability.Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for the inspection, adjustment, repair, troubleshooting, planned and unplanned maintenance of fixed equipment used in milling operations, such as conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, ball mills, screens, slurry and solution pumps, cyclones, piping and ducting.Primary Responsibility & DutiesWorks and ensures all workers work within compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants, all other applicable government standards and regulations, company policies, procedures and guidelineComplies with and participates in the continuous improvement of all safety and environmental policies and proceduresActively participates and encourages others to participate in the Internal Responsibility System and the Five Point Safety SystemRoutine preventative maintenance inspections, adjustment and troubleshootingPlanned and unplanned maintenance repairs, including overhaulReport equipment issues, unsafe or unusual conditions, and spillage immediately to supervisionMaintain good housekeeping of all shop and work areasWork order time entry and completionAll other activities as assigned by the Mill SupervisorSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:Certification as an Industrial MillwrightMinimum of 5 yrs exp. In similar functionsMinimum of 12 months’ working experience in ore processingClear, active communicator and organizedWorks effectively independently and collaboratively within a teamMechanical knowledge of fixed equipment used within the milling processUnderstanding of mill processes and relationships between operating areasExperience in cutting and weldingHydraulics experience preferredThe schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a defined rotation schedule. 14 days on / 14 days off.Alamos Gold Inc.
