OPENLANE, a leader in automotive remarketing, is looking for a Security Guard with experience in inventory control and customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a security capacity.You Are:Observant. You can identify if something, or someone, seems out of place.Reliable. As a consistent point of contact for our team and our customers, reliability is a must.Adaptable. You’ll go with the flow and can prioritize tasks to keep traffic flowing at our gate.Helpful. You’ll interact with a broad range of customers, contractors, transporters, and coworkers.Careful. You are mindful of your surroundings, working safely and carefully.You Will:Ensure site security by maintaining the auction perimeter; verifying proper clearance for personnel and customers, transporters, and supply companies; and completing roundsInventory, record, and store personal property from repossessed vehicles.May be responsible for completing vehicle stock in/check-out, using a handheld deviceLook up AuctionTrac data for customers, guiding them to where the inventory is locatedProvide excellent customer service by assisting dealers with various procedures and requests in an efficient and timely mannerMust Haves:1-3 years experience in a Security role is preferredHigh School diploma or equivalentA valid Drivers’ license is requiredValid BC Security Worker LicenseBasic computer & smartphone skillsExperience working outside in all weather conditionsStrong customer service and communication skillsNice to Haves:Bilingual in French/EnglishFirst Aid/CPR certificationAbility to drive both standard & automatic transmissionsSound like a match?
