
Plumbing Foreperson | New Construction

- Hire and oversee plumbing personnel.
- Maintain work standards and outline behavioural expectations to ensure crew morale, productivity, and compliance with quality standards, time requirements, budget considerations, and company policies.
- Directly supervise the plumbing team, providing technical assistance and guidance, periodic evaluation, promotions, disciplinary measures, or release if necessary.
- Plan and identify personnel and staffing needs in advance.
- Support apprenticeship and training programs.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and plumbing systems.
- Inspect installations for quality, accuracy, and compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Diagnose design issues regarding plumbing systems and components in advance.
- Prepare sketches, layout drawings, and code calculations for projects.
- Coordinate municipal and consultant inspections in line with project progress.
- Resolve conflicts and scope-of-work problems promptly and follow up with conflict resolution.
- Address change orders, requests for information, and layout realignments effectively.
- Plan and coordinate work three (3) months in advance, aligning with labour and material requirements.
- Maintain necessary paperwork, including Hazard Assessments, Timesheets, Weekly Labour Reports, Daily Logs, and Safety Forms.
- Keep As-Built drawings, and Valve Tag schedules up to date.
- Manage on-site tools, equipment, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with the company's Operational Health and Safety Manual.
- Coordinate plumbing work with other trades.
- Assist with plumbing labour when necessary, especially during staff shortages.
- Support the growth and development of company culture.
- Perform other duties as required.

- 5+ years of working experience in a similar role
- Red Seal or working towards Red Seal certification or equivalent
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of Federal/Provincial building codes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms
- Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
- Possesses and maintains necessary tools, equipment, and protective gear.
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with health & safety regulations, procedures and company policies.
- Adheres to project specifications and timelines ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Work in conjunction with crew members to complete field projects or tasks.
- Displays high levels of motivation, energy, and forward-thinking.
- Listens attentively and follows instructions carefully.
