Job Requisition ID #26WD95106Position OverviewFusion Industry Cloud relies on accurate, trustworthy analytics and system state signals. This role is a Principal QA developer responsible for building the quality strategy and automation systems that ensure analytics reporting and SSR pipelines are correct, stable, and “fail fast.” You will help shift detection left: catching reporting defects in CI/PR workflows and validating downstream pipeline correctness end-to-end.ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the analytics quality strategy across client reporting, SSR pipelines, and downstream consumptionBuild automated test frameworks that detect analytics/reporting failures early (PR/CI), including regression coverage and dynamic validation suitesCreate end-to-end test plans covering ingestion → validation → enrichment → warehouse publication → dashboard/BI outputsDevelop reusable test harnesses, test data, and validation utilities; integrate results into developer workflowsPartner with engineering to define “definition of done” for analytics features (test plans, automation coverage, performance checks, release readiness)Triage pipeline/data quality issues, analyze root causes, and drive corrective actions with engineering partnersCoach and raise quality practices across the team through standards, templates, and clear accountabilityMinimum Qualifications8+ years in QA/SDET roles with substantial automation responsibilityStrong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python/Java/TypeScript) and test automation frameworksExperience testing distributed systems, pipelines, or data-driven products end-to-endAbility to design test strategies, define coverage, and build scalable automationStrong debugging, root-cause analysis, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience validating analytics/telemetry events, schemas, and data quality constraintsExperience with Snowflake, SQL-based validation, and BI/dashboard validationExperience integrating automated quality gates into CI/CD (PR checks, pipeline gating, reporting)Familiarity with performance testing and reliability practices for pipelinesThe Ideal CandidateDrives “One Autodesk” outcomes by building shared quality systems that help every team ship with confidenceCommunicates with clarity and honesty-surfaces risks early and proposes solutionsRelentless about quality: measurable coverage, actionable reporting, and continuous improvement loopsBrave and ingenious: challenges flaky patterns, pushes detection left, and improves foundationsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $99,000 and $145,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
