We are looking for a Preventative Maintenance Planner to help contribute to, and conduct the preparation, revision, and implementation of preventive maintenance strategies for equipment on the Chalk River Site as a member of the Preventive Maintenance Section.   • Evaluating incoming change requests for completeness.
  • Interfacing with various stakeholders and walk-down the work to develop a thorough understanding of requirements.
  • Developing accurate assessments of resources required to execute the work and write work instructions for workers to safely execute the required work, including identification of special parts, tools and PPE required for the work and identify related drawings, procedures and manuals the workers will need
  • Executing the Stock Code Number process.
  • Interacting with procurement, procurement engineering and operations to ensure that the correct parts in the correct numbers are available for the trades.
What we are looking for:
  • Graduation from an institute of technology in a mechanical or electrical field with a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in maintenance and construction during which time the incumbent should have demonstrated the ability to assume responsibility as described above
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a skilled trade or five years in a technical role during which time the incumbent has demonstrated the technical ability to assume responsibilities as described above
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical sections, Work Management, and other work groups at all levels.
  • Must be competent in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use business software such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, Oracle, ATOM, etc.
  • Read and comprehend various types of engineering drawings
  • Exceptional knowledge of CNL’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of CRL Site Facility systems and equipment.
  • Good working knowledge and use of Enterprise Asset Management Software (EAMS).
  • Must have knowledge of Maintenance Program’s associated functions, e.g. PM’s, PMM’s, PMR’s and a MEL
  • Employee is required to work on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Familiarity with Excel, word and the EAMS software is an asset.
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.Why CNL?Does working with a team across Canada to advance nuclear science and technology for a clean and secure world speak to you?   • This role is based out of CNL’s Chalk River, which will be the designated workplace. CNL may require travel from time to time, as necessary.
