- Provide strong leadership and oversight on daily pricing and valuation processes for segregated funds and general account assets. Lead the Segregated Funds Trading and Segregated Funds Reporting teams
- Through your work directly, you will provide leadership and foster a strong culture of continuous improvement, effective controls, and drive positive change across the teams and Segregated fund business
- Provide coaching and mentoring to accelerate the development of team members through a clear and compelling vision, establishment of goals, measurement of performance, and continuous feedback. Influence leaders
- Assist with development of the departmental strategic business plan, including prioritization of projects and tasks, assessing risk, and assigning resources
- Provide oversight of internal/external audit requests and testing, and controls over financial reporting documentation, including regular review of departmental processes and recommend changes where appropriate
- Collaborate with other internal business units to support business priorities and encourage innovation and continuous process improvements while applying effective change management practices
- Oversee relationships with external business partners including investment managers, custodians and other key stakeholders
- Analyze financial information and investment results, including ad hoc analysis for Senior Management and business partners
- Review investment related financial statements and other reporting
- Ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in and complete ad hoc projects and reports, as required
- 7+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience, expertise in investment operations and financial reporting would be an asset
- University degree level
- A recognized accounting or finance designation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide leaders; adept at leading through both direct and indirect reporting relationships to drive alignment and performance across teams
- Experience at building and leading high performing engaged teams
- Highly motivated, agile, with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical capabilities, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, proven ability to build collaborative partnerships and effective at working cross-functionally to solve business problems
- Highly organized with attention to detail, with the ability to work within a highly time sensitive culture with multiple deliverables, often on the same timeline and requiring the significant use of judgement
