- Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and appropriate manor
- Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
- Place telecom structures and pedestals
- Place underground and overhead fiber and copper cables
- Couple conduit and pull different types of cables
- Participate in Tailgate/Tailboard meetings
- Complete drivers logbook (conduct pre, en-route and post trip inspections)
- Maintains and records accurate daily drilling activities
- Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and Locates
- Assist in labor activities when required
- Operation of power and motorized tools and equipment
- 2 years of experience in operating construction equipment
- Must have experience pulling trailers and operating a bucket and digger truck
- Must have a valid class 3A driver's license and an acceptable drivers abstract
- Understand utility locates and the ground conditions that are being worked
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outside for extended periods of time
- Must be flexible to working varying hours
- Strong team member with a positive attitude
- Certified in WHMIS, CSTS, Frist Aid, Confined space, fall arrest
- Be willing to advance drivers license to be able to transport equipment
- Depending on qualifications, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level.
