This role ensures that construction work is performed in accordance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, approved procedures, and project quality objectives.   • Oversee and monitor contractor QC programs to verify implementation of approved quality plans, procedures, and ITPs.
  • Witness key inspections and hold points in accordance with ITP requirements.
  • Review and validate completion and approval of Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) and supporting documentation.
  • Perform site quality audits, surveillances and inspections to confirm construction activities are compliant and adequately documented.
  • Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities and contribute to project close out and lessons learned.
  • Identify, document, and track non conformances (NCRs) and verify timely and effective corrective action close out.
  • Update and manage punch lists and verify closure of quality related deficiencies.
  • Verify care, custody, preservation, and condition of equipment and materials in the field.
  • Support mechanical completion, system walkdowns, turnover, pre commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and verify completeness and accuracy of contractor turnover records, including ITRs and as built documentation.
  • Maintain quality records and documentation required for progressive and final turnover.
  • Support internal quality reviews and participate in external audits, surveillances, and inspections as directed by the Quality Coordinator.
  • Track quality issues, trends, and performance indicators and report findings to the Quality Coordinator.
  • Interface with execution Contractors to resolve quality issues and clarify requirements.
  • Communicate quality expectations and promote a strong quality culture with site personnel and contractors.

  • Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in QA/QC roles on large industrial, mining, or heavy construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing contractor QC activities in a site based construction environment.
  • Exposure to regulated projects or nuclear/uranium mining environments is an asset.
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and construction QA/QC practices.
  • Strong understanding of ITPs, inspection and testing processes, NCR management, and turnover requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience conducting audits and quality surveillance activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with completions or document management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in integrated project teams
