As a true new-business hunter, your mission is to drive revenue by opening doors with enterprise organizations that are not yet Ivey Executive Education clients. You will often be the first interaction prospective customers have with Ivey, playing a critical role in shaping how our brand is experienced as we continue to grow our base of loyal, high-impact clients. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you are a key driver of new business acquisitions. You offer strong experience in new business development and a broad network of corporate relationships. The role requires a results-oriented, consultative sales professional who thrives in driving revenue growth, building relationships, and making a significant impact on Ivey Executive Education's growth. You'll collaborate closely with teams across the organization, including Marketing, Account Management, and fellow Business Developers. Success in this role requires drive, ambition, resilience, and an entrepreneurial mindset, along with a strong desire to contribute to Ivey's bold ambition strategy.1. Sales and Business Development
  • Identify, target, and engage net-new prospects within assigned geographies, programs and verticals.
  • Build and execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified pipeline.
  • Own early- to mid-stage sales cycles, from discovery through qualification and handoff to account managers once opportunities are solidified.
  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers and craft tailored outreach strategies to engage with prospects.
  • Conduct consultative discovery calls to uncover business challenges, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Conduct sales presentations, online demonstrations, and webinars to showcase the value of Ivey's product portfolio.
  • Position Ivey Executive Education program solutions clearly by aligning value propositions to prospect needs and outcomes.
  • Represent Ivey Executive Education at industry events and conferences to network, build relationships, grow brand awareness and generate sales.
2. Collaboration & Product Knowledge
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and account manager peers, marketing and operations teams to align strategies and messaging.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Ivey Executive Education's product offerings to effectively position solutions.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics and competitors, positioning Ivey Executive Education effectively.
3. Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align strategies and optimize service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce. Regularly track and report on key metrics.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue-related targets.
Qualifications:Education & Experience
  • University degree in Business, Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development sales, specifically with outbound prospecting and a strong track record of building your own pipeline.
  • Proven track record of success in consultative sales, strategic relationship management, and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise with CRM software and productivity tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, and Microsoft Office.
  • Background in HR consulting, leadership development, or L&D is preferred.
