- Manage a weekly schedule to ensure full assigned territory coverage and support for National and Independent Retail Banners and ensure objectives are efficiently achieved.
- Install point of sale material (POS) to support promotions or product launches, ensuring product and promotional/POs materials are visible and accessible.
- Support the Regional Sales team to reach established sales targets by ensuring execution requirements negotiated by the Key Account teams are applied at store level.
- Attain more space allotment and product visibility/accessibility by persuading customers with sales or execution comparisons based on knowledge of other regional stores, informing customers of “best practices,” and various other techniques.
- Establish business relationships with customers and regularly follow up to ensure on-going satisfaction with products and services.
- Participate in Team meetings and share customer feedback, potential business opportunities and detailed local market intelligence with Sales Team, as required.
- Remain apprised of industry trends and changes to the competitive environment. Communicate with key resources in stores and perform other duties as required.
- Audit and enforce distribution, visibility, promotion, and pricing activity with relevant banners.
- Assist stores to secure impactful product merchandising and proper stock rotation.
- Support Independent Specialists with display building, merchandising, cheque collection and demo support.
- Manage a base of direct sale customers to drive increased rate of sale and minimize store level credits.
- Complete required activity tracking reports for Regional Manager and supported Key Account teams.
- Participate in sales meetings to obtain information on sales objectives, promotional actions, new products, field problems, etc.
- 1-3 years Retail or Foodservice sales or merchandising experience.
- College or University degree is desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Ability to travel to customers daily with overnight travel every 4-6 weeks.
- Strong negotiation and communications skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with CRM, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Experience with Sales Cube, Power BI, or similar Business Intelligence platforms.
- Greater Vancouver Area includes travel to Vancouver Island.
- Must be able to work physically, frequent bending, twisting, kneeing, squatting, reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor.
- This position requires normal visual/sensory effort.
- The position typically operates in an agreeable work environment with majority of time spent commuting and visiting customers.
