- Operational and divisional support and resource for the EHS Team.
- Work in conjunction with EHS Advisors to coordinate safety training and orientation.
- Work to be ahead of the curve in identifying safety trends and patterns.
- Coordination of safety-related meetings and events, including annual JHSC summit and regular Senior Leadership Team meetings.
- Support start up package for projects, including all the appropriate and necessary templates and documentation that will be required for the job.
- Assist in the administration of EHS Policies, Manuals, Standards, Procedures, Practices and Rules.
- Ordering and shipping of various supplies and resources needed for project site and yard locations.
- Assist in site visits and inspections.
- Organize, monitor and manage statistical data and reports; ensuring all EHS personnel have complete instruction and understanding of the requirements and meet deadlines for reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current student or recent graduate of the Occupational Health and Safety program.
- Sound computer skills - MS Excel, MS Word etc.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Sound judgement, utilizing problem solving and analytical skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willing to travel with in the GTA as required.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset.
