This is an opportunity for a proven B2B sales professional with deep solarindustry knowledge to shape the future of clean energy while contributing to Firefly’smission of delivering reliable, sustainable power solutions.About the RoleWe are seeking a true business development professional with expertise in the solar industrywho can generate, manage, and close commercial opportunities. In this role, you willprospect and cultivate leads, secure commercial and industrial clients, and guide projectsfrom initial proposal to installation. You will leverage your understanding of solartechnology, financial modeling, and available grants and incentives to build strong businesscases and close deals. In addition, you will play a critical role in managing the tenderingprocess for major projects and public bids.Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to identify, pursue, and close commercial solar projects.- Prospect, qualify, and nurture leads through to signed contracts.- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in commercial, industrial, andpublic sectors.- Create compelling proposals and financial models that highlight the value of solarsolutions, incorporating available grants and government programs.- Manage the full sales cycle, from early engagement to project handover, ensuring aseamless transition to the project delivery team.- Lead or support the preparation of bids and responses to RFPs for major projects.- Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with technical and operationalcapabilities.- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and incentive programs to maintain acompetitive edge.Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in B2B business development, ideally within the renewable energyor solar sector.- Strong understanding of solar PV technology, financial modelling, and project financingtools.- Demonstrated experience closing large commercial or industrial deals and managing complexsales cycles.- Familiarity with public tendering and RFP processes.- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.- Self-motivated with the ability to generate and drive new business opportunities.Why Join Firefly Solar?Joining Firefly Solar means becoming part of Canada’s leading solar provider, dedicated toempowering families and businesses across the country with clean, affordable energy.
