- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs tailored to construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Provide training sessions and workshops on safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into planning and execution.
- Stay informed about changes to health and safety legislation and update company policies accordingly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters in Brantford construction sites.
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- Professional certifications or training in health and safety practices, such as WHMIS or COR.
- Experience in the property industry, ideally within light industrial building construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills to deliver training and liaise with stakeholders.
- Ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed safety documentation.
