- Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Review and analyze financial statements, records, and documentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for enhancing controls and processes.
- Monitor environmental compliance and adherence to regulations within construction projects.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management frameworks and propose enhancements.
- Provide guidance on best practices for compliance within the construction industry.
- Engage with stakeholders to address audit findings and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Stay updated on changes in environmental regulations and their impact on ongoing and future projects.
- Contribute to the development of internal auditing standards and methodologies.
- A designation in accounting or auditing (e.g., CPA, CIA) with at least 3+ years of experience.
- Proven expertise in internal and compliance audits
- Experience with financial statement analysis and preparation of consolidated reports.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
- Familiarity with joint ventures and limited partnerships is considered an asset.
