Their team offers their clients catering and event management for events from intimate to extravagant. The Taproom & Events team makes a habit of exceeding client expectations and consistently raising the bar in the world of special event production. They have knowledgeable and skilled team members, and a creative and imaginable approach to executing every unique event. The team will take care of every detail, whether the event is for 20 people or over 500.As General Manager, You WillThe General Manager oversees all aspects of The PEIBC Taproom & Events operations, including the execution of all events. The General Manager leads and collaborates with the entire team and fosters a culture that is safe, inclusive and fun! The General Manager is laser-focused on ensuring the guests have a memorable experience on their special occasion.
  • Demonstrate and communicate the Taproom & Events vision to all team members and lead by example.
  • Manage the execution and roll out of client events, managing team members in various positions such as set-up, serving, bar, and kitchen, ensuring clients receive only the best in guest service
  • Oversee all restaurant financials such as labour costs, cost of goods sold, and costing team schedules.
  • Ensure team members provide a memorable guest experience through coaching and fostering a positive working culture by reinforcing the MHG values daily, exciting team members with your positive nature.
  • Work with the Head Chef and their team to ensure food menu standards are met as set out by Taproom & Events and Murphy Hospitality Group.
  • Aid in restaurant menu development.
  • Perform front of house duties as needed, including but not limited to food & drink service & event setup.
  • Oversee and execute the Corporate division for CBMF & Sommo festivals
  • Maintain stock levels for events and functions, including beverage/alcohol orders, supplies and equipment orders, ensuring all is delivered and received in a timely manner
  • Balance event cash reports and deposits

What You Bring
  • Previous Event Management experience is required
  • A post-secondary diploma/degree in business or hospitality is considered an asset
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Reliable transportation to support operational needs, including travel between locations and events as required.
