Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounts receivable operations and lead a dedicated team in Markham, Ontario. This role requires a skilled individual who can manage multiple priorities, provide mentorship, and ensure efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in AR, invoicing, and general ledger understanding, while fostering a collaborative and approachable work environment.Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the accounts receivable team, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee daily AR processes, including invoicing, credit memos, and trial balance preparation.
  • Ensure accurate application and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their growth and performance.
  • Monitor attendance and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate with senior finance leadership to align departmental objectives with organizational goals.
  • Address collection processes and customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain a personable and approachable management style to foster team engagement and collaboration.
  • Uphold compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable.
  • Proficient in accounting software systems and general ledger processes.
  • Strong knowledge of invoicing, credit memos, and trial balance procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and employee coaching.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage diverse responsibilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with collection processes and customer service within a financial context.
