This senior leadership role oversees the strategy, scaling, and day‑to‑day operations of a multi‑site facilities portfolio, including industrial and corporate environments. The position builds a centralized facilities function from the ground up, owning budgets, vendors, compliance, and team leadership to support rapid organizational growth.
  • Build and scale a centralized facilities and workplace operations function across a multi‑site portfolio
  • Set strategy for facilities, workplace services, and physical security aligned with business objectives
  • Design and implement standardized procedures, operating models, and multi‑year facilities roadmaps
  • Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performing facilities and workplace teams
  • Build and manage a strong vendor ecosystem, including sourcing, contracts, and performance management
  • Provide end‑to‑end leadership for facilities planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee building systems, preventative maintenance programs, sustainability initiatives, and site upgrades
  • Manage operating and capital budgets while balancing service quality, cost control, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, health & safety standards, and environmental regulations
  • Oversee workplace services including cleaning, housekeeping, waste removal, snow clearing, and landscaping
  • Drive operational efficiency through process improvement, standardization, and technology adoption
  • Partner cross‑functionally with IT, HR, Operations, and Real Estate to support secure and productive workplaces
  • Ensure continuity, resilience, and operational readiness across all sites
  • Oversee facilities‑related inventory, tools, parts, and consumables
  • Implement controls to reduce waste, loss, and unnecessary spend
  • Ensure accurate tracking of inventory aligned with maintenance activities
  • Maintain strong knowledge of lease agreements and landlord/tenant responsibilities
  • Coordinate landlord‑required work and ensure appropriate allocation of repair and maintenance costs
  • Lead health & safety policies, inspections, incident reporting, and corrective actions
  • Champion a proactive culture of safety and regulatory compliance across all locations
  • Develop and implement security and loss‑prevention strategies
  • Oversee access control, surveillance, alarms, and ongoing risk assessments
  • Act as liaison with emergency services and security partners as required

  • Over a decade of increasing responsibility leading facilities, property, and operational functions
  • Hands‑on leadership experience managing facilities within large, asset‑intensive industrial environments
  • Deep understanding of building infrastructure, workplace systems, and regulatory obligations
  • Demonstrated success guiding diverse teams and delivering initiatives across multiple functions
  • Strong financial stewardship, including accountability for both operating and capital expenditures
  • Highly effective communicator with proven stakeholder management and incident response capabilities
  • Relevant professional credentials are an asset (e.g., facilities management, security, or project leadership certifications)
  • Advanced proficiency with modern productivity tools, including Microsoft and Google workspace platforms
