Be part of the group that is working on technology that will bring “Cognition” to all connected devices: That means devices that don't just think, but instinctively react to their surroundings.We are searching for an AI and DSP Applications Engineering intern to be part of the Qualcomm AI Processor team responsible for developing machine learning based applications and use cases developed for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The candidate will work on new cutting-edge algorithms in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and video processing and contribute to software development of new applications that bring artificial intelligence to mobile and edge devices. Responsibilities include working with the team on software design, development, integration, test, and support of these applications for Qualcomm Snapdragon AI Processors and GPUs.Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong academic records (GPA 3.0 or 72% and better);
- Excellent programming skills in Python, C/C++, Linux and Windows;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge of embedded development;
- Knowledge of operating system concepts;
- Effective interpersonal communications skill (written and verbal);
- Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented;
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and flexible.
- Basic understanding of machine learning, computer vision, gpu concepts and digital image processing applications is a bonus
- Familiarity with computer architecture concepts for performance optimization
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science
- In study towards a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Eligible candidates must have a graduation date in December 2027 or later, including May or June 2028.
- For 16-month internships: must be available May 2026 - August 2027
