The opportunityThe Senior Manager, HRIS (Workday is responsible for managing the applications used to support People & Culture work efforts (i.e. HCM, ATS, Talent, Performance, Compensation, Expenses, Learning etc.) and delivering key P&C initiatives. This individual is accountable for managing and evolving our P&C application roadmap and partners with business leaders and P&C team members to identify opportunities, define requirement, manage priorities, and develop appropriate metrics to support the decision making process.Who you'll work withThe Senior Manager, HRIS (Workday) will report to the Director, People Operations.What you'll doYou will provide a consultative approach to our client base regarding the services and integration of P&C technologies. You will develop the technology vision, guiding principles, goals, strategies, action plans and measurements required to ensure effective enterprise-wide P&C systems. You will also be responsible for the following:Understanding the trends and issues in HR Technology and proactively supporting the development and execution of solutions that are relevant for Teachers'Managing the implementation, administration and ongoing support of Teacher's technology solutionsAligning the business strategy and solutions with the technologiesAccountable for the development and ongoing management of Workday processes evolving within the technologyAnticipating and shaping the management and executive reporting requirementsBuilding a center of excellence: consultation, process, program designResponsible for the sound design and operational effectiveness of internal controls for HCMServing as a strategic thought partner to the People Operations Director and other P&C Leadership Team membersAccountable for creating, managing and further evolving the roadmaps for P&C applications, developing an approved initiatives program in collaboration with the P&C client base and providing appropriate metrics, dashboards and reportingResponsible for the operational aspects of managing and delivering key P&C InitiativesResponsible for establishing and managing processes with P&C members and business client groups to understand their priorities and ensure efficient management of P&C applications with the goal to improve the operational efficiency, effectiveness and quality of P&C deliveryProviding a consultative approach to P&C and external client base regarding the services and integration of P&C applications, reporting and analytics, and continuous improvementFacilitating appropriate training, communication and organizational change management for the portfolio of applicationsServing as a strategic thought partner to the P&C Operations Director and the senior leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on how to leverage P&C applications for optimal performance and efficiencyRecommending process enhancements to HCM practices that complement audit, control and governance compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and best practicesPartnering with Finance to support position management, budgeting and forecasting, and data integrity across P&C systemsLeading a team of 2-6 direct reports, supporting day-to-day performance, providing coaching and role-modeling values-based leadership, supporting individual development goals and career progressionManaging resource capacity and performing appropriate cross-training to ensure that client demands are delivered in a timely and quality manner, while maintaining a high level of employee engagement and satisfactionBuilding strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrating effective partnership and collaboration throughout the organization, acting as a liaison between P&C and other functionsFostering an agile and continuous improvement environment, encouraging feedback and innovation, and implementing solutions to streamline and enhance P&C processes and systemsExercising appropriate judgment in identifying when to escalate items to senior leadership, proactively communicating risks and issues, and proposing mitigation strategiesWhat you'll needA university degree or equivalent experience in Business/Operations, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldExcellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to exercise seasoned judgment and escalate issues and risks appropriatelyProficient in process design methodologies and agile project management deliverySound working knowledge of P&C technologies and general P&C business practicesProficient in critical thinking, with the capability to negotiate, influence, and make recommendations, and facilitate decisions at the leadership level within Teachers’Understanding of change management methodologies, processes, and practicesDeep technical knowledge of Workday: security, workflows, etc.Extensive knowledge of various Microsoft office products, including advanced Excel skills for data management, statistical analysis, and pivot tablesMinimum of eight to ten years of experience, preferably within P&C operational and process rolesMinimum of three years of experience managing a teamExperienced in project management and implementing systems, including requirements gathering, design, build, test, train, and deployMinimum of five years of end-to-end systems experienceGlobal experienceStrong analytical, quantitative, communication, and change management skills, with the
