Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package available post-probation, including vacation allowance.Location: Candidates should reside within a 30 to 40-minute commute to Mississauga. Applicants residing beyond a 60-minute commute may negotiate a hybrid work arrangement, consisting of two remote days and three office days per week. The office is conveniently located near Highway 401 and Highway 403. Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.Summary: This role requires a technically adept individual to spearhead efforts in the automation sector. Responsibilities include developing CAD models for conceptual designs and providing essential support to the team leader, product sales team, distribution partners, and end-users in the development, sales, distribution, and support of automation components.Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and deliver quotes for specialty components by analyzing customer drawings, specifications, and parts.
  • Review and interpret customer requests for quotes and specifications.
  • Develop and coordinate design specifications with customers, ensuring alignment with their requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to finalize design specifications, prototype enhancements, and product delivery.
  • Manage and track quotes, sales orders, and requests, ensuring timely fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical training and on-site support for product use, maintenance, and operations.
  • Monitor orders in the AS400 system and collaborate with teams to resolve any issues.
  • Support trade shows and participate in special projects as needed.
Additional Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid G driver’s license.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a College Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering with over five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in communicating technical information effectively to both customers and team members, in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as assembly drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Competence in executing detailed reports and correspondence.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks (preferred), Inventor, and/or Fusion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Clear communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and internal company systems.
