- Validate the installations performed by contractors and confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, and internal procedures.
- Inspect the quality of workmanship and document nonconformities as well as corrective actions.
- Photograph key stages, record observations, and produce complete, timely progress reports.
- Assess work progress, compare it with schedules, and flag variances with recommended actions.
- Verify and control the use of the correct revisions of drawings, specifications, and documents on the shop floor and on site.
- Safeguard, properly use, and maintain company equipment; report and escalate any breakdowns or maintenance needs.
- Conduct periodic inventories of company materials, keep registers up to date, and initiate necessary replenishments.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) at suppliers, compare against acceptance criteria, and issue the corresponding reports.
Years of experience: 2–3 years of experience in a similar role involving work supervision.
Technical competencies:
- Reading and interpretation of technical plans/drawings; revision control and document traceability.
- Visual and dimensional inspection; proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, gauges) and acceptance criteria/FAI.
- Preparation of follow-up reports with photographic evidence; use of digital site tools (DMS/QMS, checklists, office suites).
- Knowledge of the transportation technical domain (an asset).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
- Strong teamwork skills.
