- Develop internal and external referral networks
- Develop and execute a business plan
- Develop, document, and maintain a profile for each client including next steps to increase and solidify relationships
- Attend client meetings as required, including prospect and annual review meetings
- Conduct effective client discovery
- Implement action plans and proactively manage client portfolios; monitoring and rebalancing portfolios ensuring consistency with Investment Policy Statements and portfolio risk management strategies and policies
- Act as primary contact for clients with respect to questions and inquiries regarding their portfolios
- Ensure that all actions taken meet RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel and industry compliance requirements
- University degree, preferably in Business or Economics
- Chartered Financial Analyst designation
- Portfolio management experience
- Ability to communicate with clients about investment, economic, financial, and taxation issues
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within the investment industry
- CFP certification
