  • Schedule Development for Maintenance and Corrective Work
  • Leading weekly scheduling meetings with Supervisors to finalize the T‑2 Plan of the Week (POW).
  • Reviewing incoming work and preparing a rolling 5‑week schedule.
  • Prioritizing work orders based on equipment criticality and aligning schedules with production timelines to minimize downtime.
  • Reviewing work in progress and coordinating carryover with Supervisors and customers to ensure timely rescheduling and completion.
  • Resource Coordination and Allocation
  • Ensuring all required resources—skilled labour, parts, materials, and tools—are available before scheduling work.
  • Balancing workload against available manpower to optimize technician productivity.
  • Ensuring accurate feedback from field agents is recorded, documented, and properly reflected in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assisting in discussions regarding work placement by providing insight into schedule requirements, conditions, and constraints.
  • Liaison and Communication With Stakeholders
  • Acting as the central communication hub between maintenance, operations, projects, and support programs.
  • Reviewing planned work and activity timing to recommend efficiencies and reduce conflicts or wasted time.
  • Serving as a change agent by supporting CMMS improvements and influencing customers and frontline teams.
  • Leading scheduling meetings, publishing schedules, and communicating updates to ensure stakeholders remain aligned on priorities and equipment shutdowns.
  • Work Order Management and CMMS Data Analysis
  • Managing the full lifecycle of work orders within the CMMS.
  • Providing maintenance and operations teams with clear information on planned work, including status, scope, and impacts on other activities.
  • Developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master schedule through the Plan of the Week (POW) and Plan of the Day (POD).
  • Meeting with Operations and other stakeholders to review backlog, confirm priorities, and identify or resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the WL preventive maintenance program and related initiatives.
  • Collaborating with customers and maintenance teams to determine preventive maintenance requirements that meet CNSC and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manual standards.
  • Coordinating preventive maintenance tasks across work groups to ensure seamless execution.
  • Participating in all required safety and operational training and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge.
  • Taking personal accountability for maintaining skills through required courses, videos, readings, and seminars.
  • Sharing new knowledge and skills with peers to support team development.
  • Identifying and reporting actual or potential safety hazards while wearing required PPE and participating in all safety training.
  • Adhering to Workplace Safety and Health procedures, WHMIS guidelines, and safe‑work practices.
  • Working safely and reporting unsafe practices or equipment to coworkers.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Education
  • Minimum 3-year college diploma or equivalent education and experience combined with a minimum 5 years' of technical maintenance/work management experience.
  • Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience planning and scheduling work, work management exposure, and demonstrated the technical ability to assume responsibilities as described above.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability in utilizing spreadsheets and CMMS software.
  • Demonstrated skills in being a team player, able to work well across a variety of groups.
  • Ability to work with limited direction.
  • Skilled in the use of computer programs and willingness to participate in continuing training in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) related software.
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management and leadership skills.
  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills that enable them to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgment to organize and maintain the flow of work and accuracy of records.
  • Punctual, dependable and safety-minded.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to understand detailed information is essential.
  • Demonstrated responsibility and accountablity for accurately handling the details associated with one’s work.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and respond with initiative.

  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work extended hours and off normal work shifts to support project needs.
  • Extensive knowledge of typical industrial site systems and equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of trades requirements for field work execution.
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health standards.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
  • Working schedule: We have a compressed work week: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week, starting at 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Must possess normal physical agility necessary to perform all aspects of the work that involves bending, lifting and mobility.
  • Wearing and working in protective clothing and using equipment as required.
  • May be required to perform overtime.
  • The site is a self-contained secure site with offices, shops and operational facilities.
  • The site has extensive development and decommissioning activities in various stages of execution, thus policies and requirements do change as conditions require
