This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Richmond, BC.Summary of the RoleThe Enterprise Architect will support a safety-focused business domain, aligning technology solutions with strategic objectives. This role is responsible for shaping the architectural vision across a portfolio of applications, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with product and operational leaders to design scalable solutions that support risk-based planning, inspections, and regulatory activities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTranslate business strategies and requirements into high-level architectural solutions and roadmapsLead architecture across a portfolio of enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with organizational prioritiesCollaborate with product managers and delivery teams to define product structures, components, and integrationsDevelop solution blueprints, including deployment models and system interactionsEvaluate vendor solutions and provide recommendations based on value and alignment with requirementsDefine and guide implementation of shared services and technical enablersEnsure architectural consistency, scalability, and reduction of system complexitySupport governance processes to ensure technology decisions deliver business value and mitigate riskProvide guidance to teams on system design, architecture best practices, and technical directionCore RequirementsUndergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field9+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or large-scale system designMinimum 6 years defining business application portfolios or enterprise solutionsExperience with data platforms such as data lakes, data warehouses, or analytics environments (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks)Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft DynamicsDesired Skills & ExperienceExperience in regulatory, safety, or compliance-focused environmentsBackground in inspection, enforcement, or risk management systemsExperience supporting data-driven or analytics-focused initiatives (e.g., Power BI)Familiarity with field service or work management systemsExperience working within complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environmentsTermsThis is a 12-month contract role based in Richmond, BC. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days onsite per week and 2 days remote. The role includes a transition period to support knowledge transfer.
