- Manage projects and documenting success of design, application, and/or product changes in the field.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships as a subject matter expert to provide recommendations for best practices and applications supported by measurement of key metrics.
- Management of all company assets to assist with achieving Company goals.
- Conduct pre-blast surveys e.g. face profiles, borehole deviation measurements, blast geometry measurements, product sampling, safety audits, etc.
- Conduct blast performance measurements, e.g. digital high-speed video, vibration monitoring, the velocity of detonation, dynamic pressure, etc.
- Conduct time studies on personnel and equipment throughout an operation including drill and blast operations, truck-shovel loading, dragline, processing, etc.
- Respond professionally and timely to address problems and business requests.
- Understand and enhance service requirements to continually improve customer profitability.
- Communicate effectively with all DynoConsult engineers and personnel.
- Candidate to write & appropriately document by writing appropriate reports to assure that projects are documented properly and archived.
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, mining, civil engineering, or another related field.
- 5+ years of practical experience in construction, mining, and/or explosive industry in both surface and underground mining
- Project management experience preferred.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure customer environment.
- Must hold an engineer’s permit, be in good standing and registered on the membership roll at any Canadian province.
- Must have an approval letter for access to a high-explosive (ON) or General explosives permit (QC)
- Environmental and Occupational health and safety certificate
- Must have a Basic underground hard rock mine service type common core, modular training of a miner or related certification
- Travel (60%) may vary depending on location and nature of work directed, vehicle provided
