Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Pickering, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable insights to support business growth. This position is ideal for someone who is attentive to detail and eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving organization.Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Generate detailed financial reports using NetSuite and Crystal Reports to support decision-making.
  • Oversee budget preparation and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and forecasting to maintain financial stability.
  • Assist in tax compliance and reporting, including U.S. tax requirements and payroll management.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to streamline payment processes and handle invoices efficiently.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial planning strategies.
  • Coordinate with external distributors and vendors to maintain accurate pricing and transaction records.
  • Provide insights on top-performing products and customer purchasing trends based on data analysis.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including NetSuite and Crystal Reports.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, and budget processes.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including cash flow forecasting.
  • Familiarity with U.S. tax regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret detailed financial reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
