- You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lines.
- You bring 5-7 years of leadership experience.
- You hold a CIP designation and are eligible for insurance licensing (assets).
- You have post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- You have a proven track record of achieving organizational objectives in sales and service through effective leadership.
- You excel in developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams.
- Your communication and interpersonal skills are top-notch, matched by a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- You have experience collaborating with various business leaders and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- You are adept at mentoring and developing future business leaders.
- Your business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit are exceptional.
- You have experience with mergers and acquisitions (an asset).
- You possess or are working towards a Level 3 General Insurance License (preferred).
- You hold industry designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, or FCIP (preferred).
- Lead and inspire a team of commercial lines leaders across multiple offices, ensuring outstanding performance and oversight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and national markets and external carrier partners.
- Oversee business development, sales execution, client service, and employee engagement and retention.
- Guide and ensure adherence to growth processes such as Portfolio Review, Renewal Stewardship, and Jeopardy Process.
- Support and integrate new acquisitions, retaining critical staff and revenue.
- Act as the executive sponsor for the region's largest clients, ensuring top-tier support and performance.
- Lead strategic account reviews for high-premium accounts, expanding client engagement.
- Set and monitor team and individual goals, providing consistent coaching and feedback.
- Identify and develop internal talent for future leadership positions.
- Collaborate with other business unit leaders to deliver on corporate initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, amplifying successes and addressing deficiencies.
- Develop and execute the annual business plan for the Commercial segment.
- Stay informed on industry trends and participate in professional associations.
- Travel as required
