With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Paradigm Electronics has been at the forefront of the consumer electronics industry for over four decades.Job Overview:The Facilities Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general building and property maintenance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of routine maintenance repairs to facility including dry wall patching, carpentry, painting, doors, locks, restrooms, and electrical trades work
  • Conduct routine inspection and maintenance to HVAC systems, parking lots & walkways, air compressors, and building surroundings
  • Ensure that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition
  • Picking up/dropping off maintenance supplies and parts
  • Responsible for event setup and tear down
  • Install, reconfigure, and repair modular workstations and office setups
  • Fabrication and modification of components using standard shop tools (drill press, grinder, brake, shear, and milling machine)
  • Audit and complete preventative maintenance on emergency power, fire suppression, and sprinkler systems
  • Regularly inspect and test fire safety equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and schematics
  • Read and understand code books, operating manuals, manufacturer's specifications, logbooks, and inspection sheets
  • Respond to ad hoc maintenance requests and complete work orders as required
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Maintenance Technician diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in general building maintenance
  • Strong understanding of trades (HVAC, painting, carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing) is required, along with knowledge of preventative and demand maintenance
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, operate proactively, reliable and attention to detail.
  • Strong people skills, excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, work in a team atmosphere.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
