Facilities Maintenance Technician

- Perform a variety of routine maintenance repairs to facility including dry wall patching, carpentry, painting, doors, locks, restrooms, and electrical trades work
- Conduct routine inspection and maintenance to HVAC systems, parking lots & walkways, air compressors, and building surroundings
- Ensure that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition
- Picking up/dropping off maintenance supplies and parts
- Responsible for event setup and tear down
- Install, reconfigure, and repair modular workstations and office setups
- Fabrication and modification of components using standard shop tools (drill press, grinder, brake, shear, and milling machine)
- Audit and complete preventative maintenance on emergency power, fire suppression, and sprinkler systems
- Regularly inspect and test fire safety equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and schematics
- Read and understand code books, operating manuals, manufacturer's specifications, logbooks, and inspection sheets
- Respond to ad hoc maintenance requests and complete work orders as required
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintenance Technician diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in general building maintenance
- Strong understanding of trades (HVAC, painting, carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing) is required, along with knowledge of preventative and demand maintenance
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, operate proactively, reliable and attention to detail.
- Strong people skills, excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, work in a team atmosphere.
- Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
