- Salary- 82 800$-92 000$
- Provide advice, coaching and counseling support to local management in employee and/or labour relations: contract interpretation, discipline, attendance management and grievances
- Support the grievance preparation and administration process working in conjunction with Union representatives, HRBPs and internal business stakeholders
- Track grievances and provide information, guidance, analysis, recommendations and assistance on issues and cases
- Maintain a filing system for active grievances, referred to arbitration, monthly agendas, specific cases and documents
- Lead or support investigations and fact finding on employee and labour relations issues related to harassment and disciplinary issues
- Support leaders with Human Resource objectives including policy compliance as well as performance management guidance
- Lead the attendance management program ensuring effective training, communication and consistency within each business unit
- Monitor and complete all relevant reports, tracking systems, and documentation, as needed
- Conduct training for employees and managers on labour relations, attendance management, anti-harassment and discrimination as required
- Act as a change agent to support critical business initiatives and support leaders in all elements of effective change management
- University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of human resources/labour relations experience is required
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management
- Proven knowledge of Human Resources Practices, labour relations, employment law and recruitment
- Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills to address heavy peak period work activities
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to exercise sound professional judgment, especially regarding confidential/sensitive matters
- Ability to work in a fluid and challenging work environment with changing deadlines
- Ability to communicate in a sensitive, courteous manner with members, office staff, stakeholders and the general public
- Understanding of and a commitment to confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, formal and informal)
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information Systems literacy
