- Conduct mobile patrols and respond to incidents across multiple healthcare sites, ensuring safety and security for patients, staff, and visitors
- Perform rapid incident assessment and take appropriate action during medical emergencies, behavioral situations, and safety-related events
- Operate and maintain assigned mobile unit, including vehicle inspections, equipment checks, and readiness verification prior to deployment
- Utilize GPS tracking systems and real-time reporting tools to maintain situational awareness and support operational coordination
- Coordinate with SOC and other units to ensure timely, effective multi-site response and communication
- Support frontline staff during high-risk situations, including escalation, aggression, and mental health-related incidents
- Conduct site and area-based patrols, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with healthcare safety protocols
- Assist in the development and execution of post orders for assigned geographic coverage areas
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports, activity logs, and operational updates
- Conduct pre-deployment readiness checks, including vehicle familiarization, equipment accountability, communication testing, and area orientation
- Provide stakeholder support, including briefings to site leadership and coordination with clinical teams when required
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (SWL)
- Valid Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Valid Intermediate First Aid (OFA 2)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (MORB) is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of security supervisory or site lead experience, preferably in healthcare or high-profile environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of incident management, emergency response protocols, and risk mitigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, patients, and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple sites, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong report writing, documentation, and incident review experience.
- Intermediate computer skills (incident reporting systems, email, basic MS Office)
- Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Community Justice Services, or Law Enforcement is an asset.
