- Provide multi-site leadership for engineering and R&D functions across five facilities in North America.
- Align product development priorities with overall business strategy and regional market needs.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics, budgets, and project timelines to ensure operational
excellence. Product Development & Innovation**
- Guide the definition and design of new products from concept through validation testing.
- Manage research and development projects, including the implementation of new technical and
technological solutions.
- Supervise and coordinate product development to ensure on-time delivery, certification, and compliance
with North American standards.
- Adapt existing products to evolving market requirements, fostering a culture of continuous
improvement. Team Development & Expertise Building**
- Lead and mentor engineering teams and laboratory personnel, enhancing technical expertise across sites.
- Promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and best practices between facilities. Cross-Functional & Market Support**
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support opportunities through tailored product
solutions.
- Ensure seamless communication between engineering, production, quality, and commercial teams.
- Provide technical expertise and support for customer presentations, proposals, and problem resolution. Reporting & Analysis**
- Prepare detailed reports and analyses on project progress, technical performance, and market trends.Requirements:- Proven ability to lead engineering and product development within the electrical distribution sector, including lines
(hardware, accessories, and chains).
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards and regulations in Canada and the USA.
- Expertise in materials (steel, aluminum, copper) and manufacturing processes (forging, casting, etc.).
- Minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a multi-site leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.
- Recognized for creativity, proactivity, and strategic thinking.
- Member in good standing with the Order of Engineers or equivalent U.S. professional engineering body.
- **Education:** Bachelorâs degree in Engineering or related field (Masterâs degree an asset).
- **Languages:** English (spoken and written).
- **Experience:** 5+ years in the field, including multi-site management experience.
- **Travel: ** Ability to travel regularly between five North American facilities.English (spoken and written).
