Fully bilingual French and English, spoken and written, including strong drafting in both languagesAbout the ClientInner Circle Agency is hiring on behalf of a boutique transactional law firm in Old Montreal. The team is small, busy, and highly hands-on. They want someone senior who can take ownership, improve how work flows through the office, and produce strong work with minimal supervision.Role OverviewThis role is for a true corporate paralegal who can run corporate tasks end to end and keep up with the pace of commercial real estate transactions. The client has met candidates who can do parts of the work, but they need someone who can handle files A to Z, reliably and independently.You will be the first dedicated paralegal hire, which means there is real room to build structure and systems, and make the role your own.What You Will DoDraft and manage corporate documentation end to end: incorporations, organizations, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, liquidationsMaintain and update minute books and prepare corporate resolutions and supporting documentsDraft office certificates and other corporate documents used in transactional workSupport commercial real estate transactions and related corporate steps, with a strong focus on transactional pace and deadlinesPrepare and file corporate declarations, reports, and notices with the appropriate authoritiesConduct registry searches including the Quebec Enterprise Registrar and Corporations CanadaBuild and improve internal processes so lawyers can stay focused on higher value workMust Have RequirementsDEC in Legal Techniques or equivalent5+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal, commercial real estate exposure is an assetAbility to draft in French and English at a high levelStrong command of shareholder agreements and corporate governance conceptsProven ability to manage multiple active matters and deliver on deadline without being chasedThe Ideal PersonAccountable, organized, proactive, and self-sufficient. Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and cares about producing a strong end product.
