- Work independently while coordinating closely with the business development manager
- Drive company growth through the retention and expansion of existing and new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, partners, and external stakeholders
- Represent Aquatera at workshops, conferences, trade shows, and industry events
- Develop and deliver presentations to councils, municipal administrations, and industry groups
- Plan, coordinate, and support events such as conferences, client engagements, and hosted functions, ensuring a strong and professional brand presence
- Collaborate with the business development manager and communications team to support marketing initiatives and brand awareness
- Generate and qualify business leads, including outreach to existing clients to expand services
- Prepare and coordinate proposals, bids, and responses to RFPs and tenders, including content development and timeline management
- Support the development and negotiation of contracts in coordination with internal leadership, legal, and insurance representatives
- Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive positioning to identify new opportunities
- Help develop and track performance metrics and sales targets aligned with organizational goals
- Support client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and solutions-focused manner
- Experience in a business development or sales-related role
- Degree in business administration or a related field
- Knowledge of municipal, utility, water/wastewater, or solid waste industries is an asset
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships and engage stakeholders effectively
- Experience with proposals, bidding processes, and contracts
- Ability to plan and support events and client engagements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail, with the ability to prepare accurate documentation, reports, and presentations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
- Proactive, self-directed, and able to follow through independently
- Collaborative team player who works effectively with leadership and internal teams
- Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
- Legally entitled to work in Canada without limitations
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Pass comprehensive drug and alcohol test
