- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial results, forecasts, budgets and variance reports
- Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other tools)
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and disclosure reporting
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting strategic decision-making
- Support internal control processes, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting
- Partner with business unit to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline, or improve financial processes
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, performance measurement initiatives, and special analyses
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline
- Eligible to complete a work term starting January 2026 (4, 8, 12, or 16 months)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Previous co-op or work experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, or financial reporting
- Knowledge of financial reporting, derivatives, financial products and concepts (balance sheet, liquidity, etc)
- Experience using analytical tools and managing large data sets
- Experience with coding or analytics tools (Python, VBA, SQL, R, C, HIVE) and/or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Knowledge and an understanding of financial statement analysis
- Interest in pursuing a CPA or CFA
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
