- Plan and deliver orientation, in-service education, and ongoing professional development for clinical staff and learners
- Develop and evaluate competency-based education and clinical skill validation aligned with evidence-informed practice
- Support regulatory and mandatory education requirements across programs
- Practice Support & Clinical Coaching
- Provide real-time clinical coaching and practice support at the point of care
- Support staff in applying new knowledge, policies, and practice standards
- Identify and address program-level and regulatory education needs
- Policy Guideline, and Procedure Development
- Collaborate on the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
- Support integration of new or revised practice standards into clinical environments
- Act as a practice and regulatory resource for staff and leaders
- Quality Improvement & Knowledge Translation
- Support quality improvement initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- Use data, audits, and performance indicators to identify practice gaps and learning needs
- Translate evidence and insights into sustainable practice change
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with Program Directors, Quality teams, and interprofessional partners to align practice and education priorities
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for promoting a work environment that exemplifies respect, interprofessional and ethical practice, professional autonomous decision-making and maximized scope of practice.
- Participate in organizational committees, working groups, and external partnerships
- Participate in community and regional initiatives that have a direct relationship to the Mental Health Program
- Support system-wide change initiatives that advance practice excellence
- Leading and/or participating in specific related projects, as assigned.
- Master's Degree in Social Work required
- Must be a regulated health care professional in the Province of Ontario with current registration
- Advanced expertise in counselling modalities (e.g., CBT, brief therapy, EFFT, MFT and DBT)
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of mental health assessment and counselling including trauma informed care
- Membership in professional association preferred
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting
- Knowledge of professional practice issues, standards of practice, best practice guidelines and clinical management tools is required
- Skilled in the application of adult learning principles, human factors principles, change management, and project management is an asset
- Demonstrated research skills is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills is required
- Able to prioritize/organize multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Able to work autonomously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applicants including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record is required
