It provides mental health services, employment programs, emergency shelter, community, health and housing services, and justice programs to youth in the Ottawa area, serving between 2,500 and 3,000 at-risk individuals aged 12+ and their families every month. YSB employs 350 caring professionals in a unionized environment in over 26 locations across Ottawa.The Youth Justice program is looking for a part time Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical services as an independent contractor.Required Tasks:
  • Work in partnership with the Registered Nurse to provide clinical services to clients in the facility, taking into account the environmental, social, psychological and medical factors that influence health within the scope of their professional license
  • Assesses, diagnoses and prescribes treatments to clients, and refers to other resources as appropriate
  • Participates in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of treatment, education, counseling and health promotion programs and services for individuals
  • Holds clinics for youth in facility and makes outside referrals when needed
