Industrial Electrician, Ear Falls, OntarioWhen you join our team as a Industrial Electrician, you will support the mill to run smoothly by ensuring everything has a place and that the yard and sawmill are clean. Working in a sawmill, you'll discover that they do more than transform forest products, they also transform our communities.What You'll Do
  • Perform daily checks (continuity, current, voltage and resistance) and diagnostics on equipment.
  • Repair, install and test the equipment. (Transformers, regulators, motors, generators, electrical control system).
  • Design control panels and install circuit power distribution.
  • Interpret the requirements of the electrical code and ensure compliance.
  • Responding to emergencies during breakdown.
  • PLC programming (A.P.I.).
  • Other related tasks.
What You Offer
  • Red Seal Certification in either Industrial Electrician (442A) or Electrician - Construction and Maintenance (309A)
  • At least two years of experience in an industrial environment holding certifcation required.
  • Sawmill and/or planer experience will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with PLC systems
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Be available to work on shifts day, evening or night. (working 7 days on/7 days off)
  • Efficient and organized.
  • Demonstrate collaborative spirit and initiative.
  • Analytical, conscientious and flexible.
  • Results-oriented, in compliance with health and safety standards.
