Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Journeyperson to work with the Aomega Project team in Calgary!The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday. At this time, candidates that are local to Calgary area will be considered.As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will:

Build forms for concrete
Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications
Look for and fix deficiencies
Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
Study blueprints for work planning
Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level

Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures * Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup

Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters

Requirements:

Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-registered carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Certifications: CSTS and WHMIS
Experience with concrete formwork required
Buildings experience considered a strong asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must have reliable transportation to get to work
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
