Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. We provide construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the areas.We are currently looking for a Full-time Yard Hand based out of our Dawson Creek branch.As the Yard Hand, you are responsible for:

Preparing and scheduling shipments as assigned
Cleaning and organizing of shop and yard
Overseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
Performing routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order
Washing and fueling equipment
Maintaining an organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Testing equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment
Inspecting returned equipment for damages
Checking service requirements and initiating work orders on equipment as required

You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

General knowledge of construction and oilfield equipment
Mechanical experience is an asset
Hardworking team player
Customer service skills
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to work with your hands and lift heavy objects
Ability to work while wearing PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
