6 months contractOur client, a leading organization in the mining and industrial sector, is seeking a Contractor / Execution Coordinator to support site operations and project execution. This role plays a critical part in ensuring contractor work is planned, executed, and completed safely and efficiently. It's an exciting opportunity to be at the center of operations, collaborating with multiple teams while driving safety and project success in a dynamic environment.PERKS AND BENEFITS:Competitive compensationComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageOpportunity to work on large-scale industrial and maintenance projectsJoin a safety-first culture with strong leadership and team collaborationCareer growth within a well-established and continuously evolving organizationExposure to complex site operations and high-impact project workBe part of a team that plays a key role in operational excellenceWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Coordinate and oversee contractor activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of work.Provide oversight of contractors on site.Scope projects, support planning activities, and assist with scheduling and execution of maintenance and capital work.Review and authorize work permits while ensuring adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards.Conduct field inspections, audits, and safety observations to proactively identify and mitigate risks.Visit job sites multiple times per shift to assess contractor performance, progress, and safe work procedures.Review Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) and Task Risk Assessment Procedures (TRAP) packages in the field.Work with contractors to develop EHS management plans, define roles, and facilitate logistics including scaffolding, barricading, and cleaning requests.Assist in logistics, kitting, and staging of parts for maintenance teams.Attend daily start meetings, monitor contractor productivity against schedules, and provide lockout/lock box support.Support bidding processes and contractor selection for upcoming work scopes.Assist with turnaround planning, execution, and project commissioning activities.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:5+ years of experience coordinating contractors in large-scale industrial, mining, or potash projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, maintenance, and safety compliance in a mining environment.Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to keep projects on track.Strong communication and computer skills (MS Office); experience with Microsoft Projects and SAP is an asset.Hands-on experience in a mining, heavy industrial, or similar environment.A proactive approach to safety, with working knowledge of EHS standards and procedures.Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.Comfort working in the field and making real-time decisions to support execution.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, hold a valid driver's license, and work 12-hour shifts.ABOUT US:TPD is a leading workforce solutions provider with a mission to help individuals succeed by providing access to opportunities in jobs, careers, and professional development.
