On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Workday Security & Access Manager to join our Client's team on a full-time permanent basis. This role is Hybrid - must be onsite Monday and Tuesday and every other Friday (non-negotiable) and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.Summary of the role
The Workday Security & Access Manager will lead a team of Workday Security Specialists and manage the security framework within a Workday environment. This role oversees security operations and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and compliance across HR, Finance, and Student domains.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee role-based access control (RBAC) and maintain alignment with compliance needs.Conduct regular security audits and manage risk assessments.Ensure adherence to SOX, FIPAA, and other regulations.Collaborate with internal teams to enforce segregation of duties (SoD) controls.Recommend and implement Workday security enhancements and automation.Maintain current security documentation and ensure alignment with IT policies.Design and oversee data migration and data quality processes.Provide data analyses and support for tenant and integration management.Audit operational data and troubleshoot issues across systems.Foster collaboration across HR, Finance, Enrollment Services, and IT teams.Core RequirementsMinimum 8 years of related experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role.Experience with ERP security (Workday experience preferred).Proven experience leading enterprise IT projects.Background in implementing compliance and risk mitigation processes.Demonstrated ability to apply change management in complex environments.Desired Skills & ExperienceWorkday Security and Access experience.Familiarity with role-based access models across enterprise systems.Experience with SOX, FIPAA, and related regulatory frameworks.Knowledge of data governance principles and data quality standards.Understanding of integration impacts on security and data architecture.Terms
This is a full-time permanent role based in Vancouver, following a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence on Monday, Tuesday, and every other Friday.
