- Must have strong verbal and written communication
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of sales processes
- Self-motivated, results orientated and motivated to exceed targets
- Ability to plan and execute assignments with general guidelines and work independently
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the municipal, vocational, or heavy equipment industry
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
- Business Diploma or Degree preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
- Strong knowledge of and experience in the municipal equipment market
- Proven success selling equipment directly to municipalities and public works departments
- Demonstrated technical and sales acumen with strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency with CRM systems
- Manage all sales activities within the assigned territory, ensuring year-over-year growth aligned with company objectives
- Prospect, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing municipal and accounts
- Sell municipal equipment directly to end users, providing customized solutions for public works, road maintenance, and municipal operations
- Deliver product demonstrations, training, and technical support to customers and internal team members as required
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events across Canada and the United States
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Parts, Service) to support technical requirements and post-sale customer needs
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and territory performance updates
- Stay informed on municipal industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies
- Other duties and projects as assigned
- Up to 90% travel within territory; occasional travel across Canada and the US
