Employing state-of-the-art robotics, precision welding equipment, and automated machining processes, Dexter has achieved many years of success through a commitment to the principles of superior quality, continuous improvement, and unparalleled customer service.For more information about our company, access Dexter's web site at www.dextergroup.com.JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic in Regina Saskatchewan to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and trailers. The successful candidate will ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with Saskatchewan Transportation and CVIP standards, while minimizing downtime.Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform preventive maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and fleet schedules
  • Repair brakes, steering, and suspension
  • Service trailer components including axles, air brake systems, lighting, doors, landing gear, and frames
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults
  • Complete repair orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OH&S standards
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Valid driver's license; Class 1 or 3 an asset
  • CVIP certification or ability to obtain
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop and outdoor environments

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to safety, detail, and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time-management skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and shifts as required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shop for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move parts and materials up to 50 lbs.
