- Using your skills in relationship management, you will build and maintain co-operative working relationships with client groups and other IT teams to identify business needs, program initiatives, or changes requiring information systems development and/or support.
- Applying your skills in business analysis and solution design, you will assess and recommend solutions for new capabilities and enhancements to existing systems based on customer requirements and assign day-to-day work to a team of business analysts.
- Drawing on your skills in technology assessment and innovation, you will explore new technologies and perform regular environment scanning to guide and advise customers on suitable options and solutions.
- Utilizing your skills in decision-making and project leadership, you will determine scope, deliverables, resources, risk mitigation, budget, and timelines for small- and medium-sized IT initiatives.
- Harnessing your skills in communication and reporting, you will deliver regular updates on the status of projects and initiatives in line with customer and IT divisional reporting requirements.
- Employing your skills in documentation and process management, you will manage the maintenance of application-specific documentation related to implementation and ongoing support. This includes system specifications, test scripts, report specifications, training materials, support plans, user guides, project workplans, cutover plans, privacy impacts, and systems security.
- Overseeing your skills in vendor management and service oversight, you will monitor Service Level Agreements with internal and external service providers, review them regularly, and coordinate remedial actions in cases of non-conformance.
- Sharing your skills in knowledge sharing and collaboration, you will facilitate the sharing of expertise with customers and other IT teams on systems and business processes within your purview. These may include:
- Human Resource Management Systems supporting Employee & Organization Data, Payroll, Scheduling, Time Management, Talent Management, Compensation, Health & Safety Management (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Employee Self-Service).
- SAP Security & Role Management.
- Financial Management including Accounting Systems, Accounts Payable, Travel Management (e.g., SAP, Concur, Tungsten/Kofax).
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
- Six to ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including involvement in business systems implementation within a mid-sized organization.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across functional areas.
- Influencing without authority and negotiation skills when engaging stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong communication skills, including oral, written, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
- Business acumen to understand business processes and challenges.
- Knowledge of SAP system changes within a unionized environment and employment legislation.
- Understanding of system and change management fundamentals.
- Knowledge of SAP master data, transactions, reporting, and points of integration.
- Management experience, including accountability for budgets and people.
- Ability to relay technical information to non-technical audiences.

- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location at least 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
- If you are located outside of Ottawa, you may be expected to travel to our office location in Ottawa annually for in-person team meetings when required.
- May be required to work occasionally on weekends (for cutover activities, deployment of SAP configuration changes or upgrades).
