- Develop and monitor key performance indicators agreed-upon with the asset stakeholder objectives. Based on results obtained, identify and implement changes to policy and practices;
- Prepare annual expense operating plan. Review & manage maintenance budget;
- Review weekly/monthly budget reports. Coordinate department to assure budgetary compliance for the 3 budgets: site maintenance, Client maintenance costs and capital;
- Define scope of works, plan and manage maintenance projects on plant coordinating both internal and external resources.
- Submit requests for Capital expenditure authorizations and ensure project execution meets planned capital expenses and performance targets, maintains KPI’s;
- Manage and lead the maintenance team to perform the required activities: inspection, data collection, preventative maintenance, repairs and improvements.
- Determine predictive strategies to monitor equipment deterioration, prevent failures, and reduce impact on operation and maintenance cost;
- Optimize the inventory management by implementing industrial best practices and by reducing inventory costs based on risks; Provide support to implement effective industrial best-in-class methods in asset maintenance;
- Liaise and collaborate with Veolia colleagues specialized in asset maintenance to share ideas and initiatives that can be beneficial to the project / plant.
- Implement strong maintenance practices to ensure the highest possible level of health and safety
- Promote a culture of safe work practices;
- Contribute to managing & reviewing maintenance training & safety compliance records.
- Participate and conduct routine staff meetings to demonstrate achievement of best practice Key Performance Indicators;
- Ensure knowledge transfer through development of subordinates and ensures appropriate training for staff;
- Contributes to the Veolia asset management and maintenance managers network
- Technical certification(s) in related disciplines and/or college degree in Engineering preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in asset maintenance in industrial environment (waste and water treatment preferable)
- 5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the electro-mechanical field
- Effective interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google applications
- Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of staff, management and organized labor groups
- Proficient with planning, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Ability for emergency stand-by
- Well versed in best practices in environmental, health and safety
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management planning
- Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment chemical application equipment.
- Working knowledge of typical machine shop skills
