- Potential additional duties include region leader training and process development.
- Responsible for driving the culture and providing excellent customer support for all sites within a region.
- Maintain a considerate and reciprocal relationship with site leadership and staff to influence the design and rollout of key initiatives and drive site-level execution to achieve desired results.
- Responsible for cascading policy deployment improvement targets and strategic direction to P&WC Organization Leadership, Site General Managers, site EH&S Managers, site EH&S Councils or other staff.
- Provide strategic direction and influence, leadership, and technical support to advance EH&S programs, and provide oversight to help ensure all facilities are in compliance with local, state, in-country, and RTX/PW EH&S requirements.
- Assist site with implementation of the RTX EH&S management system. including, but not limited to: Data Management and Reporting; and Annual Planning; Training: EH&S Region Leader will lead the EH&S onboarding of new or transferred GMs and EH&S Professionals; EH&S Region Lead will also participate / support Incident Investigation
- Support regulatory compliance, serious incidents, recordable and loss time investigations
- Validate root cause and mistake proofing
- Establish routine communications with site EH&S managers
- Solicit and share best practices across the region and company
- Provide regular updates and communications with P&W EH&S leadership and staff
- Staffing and Employee Development:
- Assist in the hiring and development of EH&S staff
- Support career development plans and performance reviews
- 50% amount of travel (sites' visits)
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of work experience in EH&S OR Advanced Degree and 8+ years of work experience in EH&S
- Fluent English and French (QC) required
- BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety or related technical discipline
- CSP ( Certified Safety Professional)
- Prior experience preferred in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Preference is for professionals located in Canada
