- Serves as a senior relationship lead for assigned national and strategic dealer partners, acting as a key point of contact for head office stakeholders.
- Supports the development and execution of dealer-level strategies and account plans aligned to Mackenzie’s retail distribution priorities.
- Gathers and synthesizes insights on dealer strategy, asset mix, sales trends, and platform dynamics to inform sales and product positioning.
- Partners with internal retail sales teams to optimize sales outcomes, capture rates, and product mix across platforms.
- Executes on national account initiatives that drive sales growth, increase market share, and expand product penetration.
- Leads engagement with dealer research teams, analysts, and portfolio managers to support inclusion on recommended lists for mutual funds and ETFs.
- Coordinates preparation for investment due diligence, working closely with investment teams and internal partners.
- Contributes to the development of customized technical and sales content, in partnership with Marketing, Legal, and Compliance.
- Supports engagement with evolving distribution models and new partnership opportunities.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on Mackenzie’s investment solutions, aligning product offerings to dealer and client needs.
- Identifies and advances opportunities within dealer model portfolios and platform arrangements.
- Supports negotiation, implementation, and ongoing management of platform and distribution agreements.
- Oversees execution of sales support models and ensure seamless delivery of agreed-upon arrangements.
- Contributes to the management of significant AUM and revenue responsibilities across assigned accounts
- Support identification and advancement of sub-advisory and custom mandate opportunities with Canadian financial institutions.
- Partner with investment teams through due diligence, solution design, and implementation phases.
- Assist in ongoing servicing and relationship management for select high-value or legacy accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal wholesalers, marketing, operations, compliance, and investment teams to ensure coordinated account coverage.
- Manage cross-functional resources to meet ongoing partner requirements and resolve dealer-level issues.
- Contribute to broader Retail Distribution initiatives and support alignment with firm-level priorities.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and functional leadership within the national accounts team as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in commerce, business or economics, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in investment sales, relationship management, or financial services distribution
- Direct experience with mutual fund dealers, wealth platforms, or as a financial advisor strongly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships and execute strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment.
- Travel required to all offices globally to ensure consistency and quality control of workflows.
- Given time zones, often requires communication with Hong Kong based team in the evenings.
