Reporting to the Vice President, Legal and Corporate Services, the Director, Corporate Services is responsible for the strategic evolution and operational excellence of the organization’s enterprise-wide corporate programs. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in business resilience, crisis management, physical security, facilities management, and corporate leasing strategy.As Director, Corporate Services you will:Champion Resilience: Lead the organization in recognizing that operational resilience is not just a defensive measure, but a fundamental driver in achieving the enterprise’s top strategic objectives; Rapidly establish credibility with leaders across the organization to assist businesses to identify, assess, and mitigate material resilience risks that could jeopardize their objectives.Lead Crisis Management & Executive Decision Support: Coordinate organizational responses to crises with mature judgment; Facilitate high-quality decision-making under pressure, ensuring that responses are timely, coordinated, and aligned with long-term business interests.Lead Office & Leasing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive office and leasing strategy that optimizes the organization’s physical footprint. This includes managing landlord relationships, negotiating high-value lease agreements, and ensuring that facility acquisitions or divestitures align with the organization’s financial targets and future growth requirements.Bring an Enterprise Perspective: Apply a broad, enterprise-wide lens to all operations, maintaining a sophisticated understanding of how key business processes impact the organization and the broader financial sector.Key Accountabilities:Business Resilience Program Management:Responsible for the continuous development and execution of the business resilience program for all business units and corporate functions of TMX Group.Direct the organizational crisis response by monitoring all incidents and escalating them according to the crisis management plan. Lead post-incident reporting and execute improvement strategies to strengthen future resilience.Lead and coordinate enterprise business resilience activities in alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.Lead and support the development and delivery of enterprise-wide training initiatives and exercises for Crisis Management team members and Business Recovery teams.Physical Security and Health & Safety Program Management:Responsible for the continuous development and execution of Physical Security and Health & Safety programs for all business units and corporate functions of TMX Group.As the owner of the Safe and Resilient Workplace Policy, ensure the policy and its supporting documents are up to date and monitor and report on compliance with the policy.Lead and support the development and delivery of enterprise-wide employee training initiatives, focusing on emergency response, physical security and health and safety.Facilities and Administration Program Management:Responsible for the continuous development and execution of Facilities and Administration programs for all offices of TMX Group globally.Lead office and leasing strategy, proactively managing office space planning and refitting projects to maximize efficiencies, support business operations and growth.Lead large scale construction projects and/or new office builds, demonstrating solid and practical understanding of TMX critical business and strategic objectives.Corporate Services Program(s) Management:Lead the integration of any new business acquisitions into the enterprise's Corporate Services program(s).Continuously identify opportunities to improve the enterprise Corporate Services programs to deliver solutions and drive efficiency.Lead negotiations and manage all service contracts with vendors needed to support the operations of the enterprise Corporate Services program(s).Manage the Corporate Services program(s) budget and the Corporate premises budget.Legal and Corporate Affairs Department Operations:Oversee the department’s budget and lead the annual budget planning processes.Support departmental operations by synthesizing complex data into actionable reporting and high-level presentations for senior leadership. Provide project leadership for department initiatives and support day to day operational tasks.Skills and Experience:Must Have(s)Bachelor’s degree in business administration, disaster & emergency management, or other relevant fieldMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated experience in leading crisis management or emergency management responseStrong knowledge of business fundamentals and applicable legal frameworks (building/fire code, health & safety legislation, privacy legislation, etc)Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively and can easily adjust communication content and style to the diverse needs of stakeholders (employees, management, board of directors, regulators, etc)Strong analytical, attention to detail and critical thinking skills combined with ability to maintain focus in high stress situationsProven ability for practical and innovative problem solvingAbility to lead and partner with multiple stakeholders on complex projectsStrong people management skills to help develop team members and motivate their team to meet their objectivesProfessional designation or working towards designation in the following: FMP, CFM, CPP, CBCP, MBCI would be an assetBilingual in English and French would be an assetThis role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office), based in Toronto, ONSalary Range: $175,000 /year -$190,000/year CADPlease note that the salary range included is a guideline only.
